We’ve all heard the term in relation to our dealings in Iraq, but my thoughts are more focused on the hearts and minds of Americans. More specifically, the hearts and minds of our youth, which are being fed like hungry sponges by academists filling a void caused by, in the standard sense, the natural chasm between parent and teen, and in a more contemporary sense, the cravasse caused by modern media eager to advance their collective agenda.
There once was time, long ago and far away, when the media fulfilled its purpose the way it was intended to, reporting the news with no injection of any particular viewpoint. Mourn those days, for they are long gone. And while you’re at it, mourn your civil liberties for they have gone the way of scruples. Dead and buried.
How could this be, you ask? When we live in the greatest, most free country on the planet? Yours is not a lonely voice, for many are asking the same question. “How could America possibly be defeated?” Only by Americans is the correct answer.
How? A one word sentence, but so encompassing of our troubles. How, indeed. There are several prongs to the “attack”.
First, we are made to believe that we have it “too good”, and this is where academia comes into play. Our children (young adults in actuality) are indoctrinated by wealthy professors and made to believe that we, as Americans, are much too well off and that we have an obligation as a wealthy nation to aide the less fortunate nations. Nevermind the money that we as taxpayers are giving already, it will never be enough.
The most important aspect of the potential downfall of America lies in the perception of religion. We founded this great nation on solid, religious principles. What has been happening, though?
It’s quite simple, really. The oxymoronic Religion of Atheism has become the most powerful since the Church of England. It’s just that no one recognizes that fact.
